HCFANY Memo of Support: Out-of-Network Legislation in 2014-2015 Executive Budget

HCFANY strongly supports out-of-network protections, including requiring plans to meet network adequacy standards and protecting consumers against “suprise” medical bills for out-of-network services they did not choose. Governor Cuomo included important provisions related to out-of-network protections in his 2014-2015 Executive Budget, released on January 21, 2014.
