ACTION ALERT: Call Congress today and tell them to vote NO on the Ryan 2012 House Budget Proposal

Later this week, the U.S. House of Representative is scheduled to vote on its 2012 House Budget proposal, introduced by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis) last week. The Republican majority’s proposal will increase costs and cut off health care to millions of Americans by:
- Repealing the Affordable Care Act and defunding implementation efforts in the states.
- Turning Medicaid funding into a “block grant” and capping the amount given to states to provide health care to low and moderate income children and families, people with disabilities, seniors who need long-term and nursing home care, and destroyuing the very foundation of the Affordable Care Act.
- Privatizing Medicare through vouchers for more expensive private insurance that will dramatically shift costs to seniors and the disabled.
- Taking money out of the pockets of the middle-class, and giving it to the wealthy. Ryan proposes to give the richest 2% of Americans a massive tax cut, yet keep tax revenues the same. This means that middle-income Americans will get an equally massive tax hike.
Think this is a TERRIBLE plan? If so – make your voice heard!
