Emergency Health Vigil: NYC
2017 Jun 28 - 5:30pm-7:30pm - 111 Worth St (Foley Square), New York, NY 10013
Host: 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East
The Senate debate on the very damaging health care bill starts tomorrow, with a floor vote later this week.
This vigil is one of many solidarity vigils taking place at the same time as a “Hands Around the Capitol” event in DC, at federal buildings across the country. These events will call on our Senators and Representatives to oppose the health care bill that would cause millions of people to lose their insurance, destroy Medicaid, end funding for family planning, and weaken or wipe out important consumer protections in health insurance. Bring a candle and a lighter, and a simple sign to hang around your neck. The NYC vigil is being hosted by 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East. Spread the word! We must act together to protect healthcare for all. For more information, please contact Mark Hannay at metrohealth@igc.org. |
