As Senate Republicans stumble through their latest attempt to dismantle the popular Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), the GOP majority passed a procedural vote Tuesday on repeal legislation, the contents of which remain unknown even to some Senators.  Advocacy groups including 1199SEIU and Metro NY Health Care for All remain steadfast in opposition to this hastily created bill that the Congressional Budget Office says will deprive as many as 32 million Americans access to affordable, quality care. In their rush to destroy the ACA they are creating potential chaos in the lives of tens of millions of working Americans. Caregivers and advocates know firsthand the devastating consequences of taking care away from those who most need it. Their voices will not be stilled.
