A report released today by Citizen Action–a HCFANY member organization–finds that New York State Senate Republicans are major recipients of health insurance company campaign contributions. The report notes that regulation of the State's health insurance rates are blocked regularly in the Republican- controlled State Senate and urges state leaders to adopt public financing of elections to reduce corporate influence of the legislative process.
