Community Health Advocates (CHA), an initiative of HCFANY member org. Community Service Society, invites non-profit community-based organizations (CBOs) to participate in a Request for Proposals (RFP) to build a statewide all-payor health care consumer assistance program as outlined under the new health reform law.
CSS seeks to select CBOs throughout New York State to become a part of the CHA network and to provide consumer assistance in their communities about health care options and coverage. Funded activities include: counseling, representation, and community trainings. Applications are due on Wednesday, November 17th at 5 pm (see RFP link above for more information). CBO awards of up to $70,000 are available and contingent upon funding.
