Statewide Consumer Assistance Program Seeks Partners

Community Health Advocates (CHA), an initiative of HCFANY member org. Community Service Society, invites non-profit community-based organizations (CBOs) to participate in a Request for Proposals (RFP) to build a statewide all-payor health care consumer assistance program as outlined under the new health reform law.

CSS seeks to select CBOs throughout New York State to become a part of the CHA network and to provide consumer assistance in their communities about health care options and coverage.  Funded activities include:  counseling, representation, and community trainingsApplications are due on Wednesday, November 17th at 5 pm (see RFP link above for more information).  CBO awards of up to $70,000 are available and contingent upon funding.
