I got health insurance (or someone in my family did). My health is better because I can afford doctor visits or prescriptions that I need. I don't have to choose between paying for health care and paying for other necessities like food and housing. I had a healthy pregnancy and baby. My children are able to get all the vaccinations and check-ups they need. I or my family member was able to live at home or in a group home instead of unnecessarily living in a nursing home, because we could get help managing disabilities or health limitations.
