The plot thickens…

While many of us have been busy sunning ourselves through our SPF 70 and catching up on old “Mad Men” episodes on our soon-to-be overpriced Netflix accounts, the federal government has been hard at work furiously churning out new sets of proposed regulations for the Affordable Care Act.
New on this month’s reading list are the proposed regulations on:
- Health insurance Premium Tax Credits, compliments of the Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service;
- Medicaid Program and Eligibility Changes, compliments of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS); and
- Health Insurance Exchange Functions, Eligibility Determinations, and Employer Standards, also from HHS.
Not ready to put down your beach reading yet? Fear not! As always, HCFANY will be diligently packing these proposed rules into our overnight bags to follow us wherever these last few weeks of summer wish to take us.
Any comments are due 75 days from the date of post in the Federal Register (think early October-ish), so keep an eye out for HCFANY’s comments around mid- to late September.
