Last night, Metro New York Health Care for All Campaign (Metro NY)–a HCFANY member–celebrated its 15 year anniversary. Metro NY is a citywide multi-constituency health care justice coalition. HCFANY member, Eesha Pandit, of the MergerWatch Project, delivered the keynote address.

At the gala, HCFANY member American Cancer Society was honored for community leadership. Other honorees included:

• New York State Assembly Member Adam Bradley
  for Political Leadership in the area of insurance reform
• District Council 1707 for Trade Union Leadership
• Working Today/Freelancers Union founder Sara Horowitz for Innovative Leadership

For the past 15 years Metro NY  has brought together community groups, labor unions, professional associations, and faith communities to fight for universal health care, and work on other health care justice issues central to that goal.
