HCFANY testifies at Public Hearing on Health Insurance Options for Young Adults

When young adults no longer qualify for health insurance on their parent’s plan, there are few affordable options. Many young adults want coverage, but can not afford it. Today, the New York City Council’s Health Committee held a hearing on Insurance Options for Young Adults where several HCFANY members provided testimony.

One of the only things that makes me panic these days is the fact of David Paterson as governor. Given the fact that his administration — if that’s what you can call it — has been captured by the HMO lobby, it will be interesting to see how all of his Preventatatative Primary Care propagandists handle the swine flu problem, once they are finished ridiculing and minimizing it and reality sets in.
