Introducing "New York Health Plus"
Posted May, 4 2009 by arianne
Tomorrow, May 5 at 2pm, Assembly member Richard Gottfried, Chair of the Assembly Health Committee and Senator Thomas Duane, Chair of the Senate Health Committee will introduce their New York Health Plus bill.
New York Health Plus would provide health care for all New Yorkers and all all premiums are paid for by the State. For more on how this bill meets HCFANY’s 10 Standards for Quality, Affordable Health Care for All, read HCFANY’s evaluation here.
The introduction of this bill is timely. Health care advocates anxiously await the final report in the Partnership for Coverage (P4C) process. Established in 2007, the P4C process is supposed to develop a “building-block” approach for statewide health reform. Read more here.
