Time is running out. New York must immediately pass legislation and get our Exchange underway in order to meet the federal deadline. Otherwise, the federal government will create an Exchange for us. Passing an Exchange bill now will allow New Yorkers—not federal agencies—to shape our Exchange.

In 2011-2012, HCFANY’s Racial & Ethnic Disparities Task Force will be focusing work around the following priorities: Promoting language access in health coverage Requiring uniform data collection and reporting Promoting cultural competency training for medical professionals Promoting Community Health Centers
