Andrew Cuomo Names Transition Team on Health

On Tuesday, Governor-Elect Andrew Cuomo announced his new transition committee on health, which will be part of a joint Committee on Education and Health. This committee is tasked with recruiting, reviewing and recommending candidates for key health positions in Cuomo’s upcoming Administration.
Given the daunting challenges facing New York State in both the areas of federal health reform and the sustainability of our State’s public insurance programs, we hope the transition team will assemble an administration staff devoted to protecting consumers – especially the most vulnerable ones. HCFANY members will be recommending individuals with experience and dedication to patient-centered and patient-sensitive health care.
Cuomo also unveiled a new website – www.WorksforNY.com – for people to submit their resumes and apply for positions on his Administration. These submissions will be reviewed by each respective committee, which will then recommend specific applicants to the Governor- and Lieutenant Governor-Elect.
