Health care and…me?

Think anybody out there is still confused about health reform? You betcha! Even hardcore HCFANYers often find themselves scratching their heads over different bits of the new law.  To help out, a group of advocates called the Health Care and You Coalition put together a new consumer-oriented website to provide the public with easy-to-understand information about the Affordable Care Act and how it impacts them:

 www.healthcareandyou.org

Along with state-specific information, the site provides health care information for individuals, families, small business owners, employees and health care professionals.

Check out the New York page! It has a variety of information –  including facts, stories, and word definitions – that will help the public get basic questions answered.

Members of the Health Care And You Coalition include the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network,  AARP, the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the American College of Physicians (ACP), the American Medical Association (AMA), the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHAUSA) and National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA).
