HCFANY was invited to deliver testimony before the NYS Senate Committees of Health and Insurance at a hearing on January 13, 2014. The hearing concerned the Affordable Care Act and the NY State of Health Marketplace.

The NY State of Health released its December Enrollment Report, detailing demographics of enrollees in private and public health insurance plans, on January 13. HCFANY released a statement in response, commending NY State of Health for strong enrollment numbers and recommending the State adopt a Basic Health Program and increase support for consumer assistance programs.
